So here it is, I've started the blogging in preparation of my moving to Cambodia for the Peace Corps. I've officially joined the land of the digital; the land of the bloggers; the land of the public.
It's been a year since Cambodia and life is ... still in transition.
Welcome to my blog - what I've determined is a hybrid of "blah blah blah" and "log" (the kind used to keep track of things, not the kind that floats down river).
What goes up, must come down: As most people know, the Peace Corps did not work out for me ... it's been about a year since I came back from my debacle of a health situation in Cambodia, to a few months of bed rest and recovery in Maui, to attempting to restart the life I had. Then Grandma died, then I moved to Australia where the recession made it impossible to find a job, jump to my other Granny dying and me crashing with the parents in the Bay Area to try to come up with Plan E. Um, which one would that be you may ask? (Or maybe not, since a lot of you have probably lost interested by now or gotten confused the storyline.) The idea of going to graduate school in Europe, orrrrr in the Bay Area. Hey, it beats temping at a law firm in Concord.
What has Ashley come to? Cross your fingers that it's still the cocoon phase.
